Boston Comedy Festival Winner Dave Russo has been featured on Comics Come Home with Denis Leary, E! TV’s “The Entertainer,” USO shows nationwide, and can be seen weekly as co-host on NESN’s “Dirty Water TV”
Recently named “Best Male Comic” in the city by the Boston Examiner, Dave Russo has been a mainstay of Boston comedy for the last fifteen years. As co-host of NESN’s Dirty Water TV, he produces a regular comedy series, in addition to reporting on the best of Boston nightlife. After winning the inaugural Boston Comedy Festival’s “Best New Comic Award,” Dave auditioned and beat out over five thousand performers to earn a headlining contract in Las Vegas on E! Entertainment Television’s “The Entertainer with Wayne Newton.”
Dave has performed on “Comics Come Home” alongside Denis Leary and other comic heavyweights. He has been featured on NBC’s “The Today Show,” Fox 25 with Gene Lavanchy, NESN’s Comedy All-Stars, and “The Phantom Gourmet.” He also works regularly with the U.S.O., performing for the troops at shows all over the country.
Dave is very heavily involved in the community, performing charity and fundraising events across New England, including New England Patriot Matt Light’s annual “Celebrity Shoot-Out,” Micky Ward’s Team Micky Ward charity golf tournament, competing with the Boston Bruins Alumni and most recently, Milan Lucic’s annual Rock & Jock Celebrity Softball game.
