Joe Holden

lthough Smokin’ Joe Holden has been doing professional comedy for only a short period of time, he has exploded onto the comedy scene! Described by John Perrotta (comedian and owner of the Comedy Factory) as “one of the hottest, up-and-coming comics in the industry, who has taken the New England area by storm,” Joe has moved up the comedy ranks at an unprecedented pace. He performed at paid gigs less than a month after his first open mic and was hired by the Comedy Connection in East Providence less than three months into his professional comedy career. Besides the laughter, Smokin’ Joe Holden’s confidence has been bolstered by the generous words of headline acts he’s been fortunate enough to have worked with. “You’re a natural-born comic,” and “You’re going to go very far – very fast — in this business if you just keep doing what your doing,” are just some of the words of advice he follows when working out in the clubs 4-5 nights per week.

Moved up from Opener to Feature in less than a year of doing comedy professionally, (which is unheard of in today’s industry) Joe has just continued to grow and now performs 30-minute sets of non-stop laughter. Smokin’ Joe has recently opened for national headliners Caroline Rhea (Sabrina the Teenage Witch, & The Biggest Loser), Dom Irrera (HBO), Jim Gaffigan (HBO), Pablo Francisco (The Family Guy), Bobby Kelly (HBO Tourgasm), Craig Shoemaker (Comedy Central) Josh Blue (Last Comic Standing), Aries Spears (Mad TV) Greg Proops (Whose Line is it Anyway), Steve Sweeney (HBO), Bobby Collins (VH1) and Colin Quinn (Comedy Central, Tough Crowd, SNL, MTV).
